Choosing the Right WAHM Forum

So what makes a WAHM forum a “Top WAHM 2 WAHM Forum?” Well, for our award purposes we look at the format/ease of use, traffic, topics, and how well the board is moderated – do they keep fresh topics moving, delete all spam, and kick off offenders. I can’t tell you which boards are right for you but I can suggest what you might look for in making your decision. Does it have an appealing format? Is it easy to figure out how to use it? What kind of traffic does it have? What are the personalities like of the other posters? Are their rules clearly posted and can you live by them? Does the moderator do a good job of keeping the topics moving along and keep the spammers out? You might be looking for a small intimate group, for one that addresses parenting issues, or one that has a lot of business issues.

If you’re looking to meet other WAHMs or to promote your WAHM business one of the best FREE ways to do so is by participating in an online forum or message board. These are websites, or a section on a larger website, that are set up as a place where people come to ask and answer questions, share ideas, and sometimes even share photos and documents. It is typically run by the owner and/or her chosen moderators. A moderator is there to help run the forum by starting new topics (to keep things moving), answering questions, deleting inappropriate posts when necessary, and blocking certain users who abuse the rules of the board.
